Amazon.com Psychiatry and metaphysics blend together in this fascinating book based on a true case history. Dr. Weiss, who was once firmly entrenched in a clinical approach to psychiatry, finds himself reluctantly drawn into past-life therapy when a hypnotized client suddenly reveals details of her previous lives. During one hypnosis session his client introduces the spirit guides who have been her soul therapists in between lives. This is when the story really takes off for Weiss, who discovers that these guides have specific messages about his dead son as well as Weiss's mission in life. No, we cannot verify the truth of this story using the limited scientific tools we have available. However, it is hard to dispute that this well-respected graduate of Columbia University and Yale Medical School has discovered a personal truth that has led him to be an enormously popular speaker, author, and leader in the field of past-life therapy. --Gail Hudson
Product Description As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the "space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss' family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

The Facts may be off but the wisdom is there August 21, 2008 Brad Gutman (Ohio) This was a very easy read and I enjoyed it very much. It is an unbelievable true story. Now there may have been some funny things going on with the books relating to the facts. I didn't really pay all that attention to what Catherine was saying about her past lives. It was interesting at first but what really floored me was when the masters spoke. The wisdom that came from them was a beautiful thing. That is what really won me over with this book was the wisdom that was in it. I don't know about all the historical facts that may be wrong about what she had said but when she spoke of wisdom it made a lot of sense. Even if she is the greatest actress and lier alive she still has some damn good thoughts about life. I don't believe in this book blindly and fully but I do enjoy the wisdom within it.
book review August 8, 2008 C. Larimer (Gainesville, Florida United States) Excellent book about hypnosis, psychological care and the effect of learning about events in previous lives. Really supports the widely held (in hindu and buddist cultures) belief of reincarnation.
This book changed my life August 2, 2008 Laurie Christie (Illinois) It has given me perspective and purpose in my life's journey, it has helped me release certain fears and has given me a sense of peace. This book has recommited me in my desire to help others and be a kind and giving person. It is a book I will always keep and reread time and time again. Thank you, sincerely, Dr. Weiss for writing it.
Many Lives, Many Masters August 1, 2008 L. Estrada (Cordova TN) Many Lives, Many Masters: The True Story of a Prominent Psychiatrist, His Young Patient, and the Past Life Therapy That Changed Both Their Lives Really good book and easy to follow. Hard to refute what Dr. Weiss discovers in this journey with his patient. Explains so much of why we struggle to be human and reminds us how much we can be additive to our lives with the proper tools. Open your mind and be free!
many lives, many masters July 31, 2008 Nelida Mejia The book is an enlightening and well written book of the author's experience which is a guide to spirituality and well being. It is truly a book that may change your life in a positive manner and restore your health through meditation. For those facing illnesses it can provide peace and calm and loss of fears for those facing terminal illnesses. I would definitely recommend this book.
