Dated, but cute January 10, 2008 Aaron Christensen (Behind the Orange Curtain, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this video as a gift for my wife, since she used to watch it religiously as a child. We sat down and watched it together and I learned that it is a recording of a televised stage play that was broadcast on NBC back in the 60s. The set and the effects are dated, as would be expected, and some of the acting and staging is a bit corny, but what can you expect from a 60s version of Peter Pan? As the video wore on, I found myself smiling and even laughing out loud at certain parts, in spite of the "hokiness" of it. I imagine that this video will become a favorite for our future children for many years, as it was for my wife.
If you remember this as a child.. January 5, 2008 C. bevilacqua (New York City) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i bought this for my three year old great niece. She loved it as I did watching it with her. It is definitely a 'period' piece, but that is part of its charm. It still has enduring appeal, despite its 'age'.
