basic functional reasonably priced November 2, 2008 Dr. Kingstone Shih (san francisco) very bare bones but fully functional jumper cables to throw in the trunk of your car. lacks the fancy safety heavy coverings on the grips you will find in much higher priced versions. if you know what you are doing and understand the protocol for safely jump starting a vehicle, don't spend the extra money on a heavier set, this set will serve you just fine.
Coleman Cable 12' 8 Gauge July 27, 2008 L. Tran (Sac, Cal Usa) Long enough to do the job, thick enough to release the charge, and I like the yellow color.
Did its job! June 6, 2008 Jeff Gautrau Bought this as a precaution before heading off to a music festival and I needed it right away when my friends battery died from playing music all day. The next morning we hooked it up and her car started right up! So do the world a favor and throw a set of these in your trunk...you never know when one of those cute hula hooping girls is going to need a jump :D
Not bad for the price February 7, 2008 Arthur Bradley (Virginia) 3 out of 10 found this review helpful
For the money, these cables are a pretty good deal. They use 8 AWG wire, which is big enough for most jumping needs. Mine came a bit scuffed up, and they didn't have the glow in the dark feature (just a sticker put on each clamp), but otherwise they were in good shape. Priced at under $12, the cables are a good buy, but don't expect them to compare with really high-end cables. Sturdy - well built January 10, 2008 S. West (Phoenix, AZ USA) Haven't had a need to use it yet - but it's built well with solid connections.
