Designed to meet high standards for quality and performance. See a video for Stanley Tool Sets. | About Stanley Sockets and Ratchets Stanley sockets feature the proprietary Max-Drive design, a unique radius corner design which provides 15 percent more torque, making it easy to tighten fasteners and simplifies the turning of rounded corners. This technology helps reduce fastener wear without contact on the outer 5 percent of the fastener, so fasteners last longer. This helps reduce slipping on frozen or rusted fasteners. Stanley sockets are manufactured worldwide with high alloy steel and heat treated for performance. Stanley ratchets and accessories are designed to meet or exceed ANSI specifications. All are forged from high-quality steel and finished in high-polish chrome. Selected Stanley high-torque ratchets have a Quick Release mechanism for one-handed use. Sockets and extensions remain locked onto the drive until disengaged with an easy-to-reach, low-profile quick-release button. Stanley Pear Head Ratchets have a slim profile and a small 7-degree arc-swing for accessing hard to reach fasteners.

99 piece wrench/ratchet set March 14, 2008 Benjamin Wilber (Hell) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I tend to agree with the first review but I should add 1 significant point. Stanleys lifetime warranty is a joke. Most brick and mortar locations that will actually replace a broken or malfunctioning Stanley tool can only replace the tool with what they have on hand, and it is very rare for anyone to have individual sockets by Stanley on hand and in stock. That means that if you bust a socket or break a wrench you have only 1 option: YOU HAVE TO MAIL THE TOOL TO STANLEY AND THEN THEY WILL MAIL A REPLACEMENT.

I guarantee that no one will have the patience to wait for the tool to be sent back in the mail. If a new individual socket, lets say a craftsman from Sears, can be picked up the same day that you bust one of the Stanley sockets, would you wait for the socket to be sent back to you in the mail? NO!!!! You have things to do. You and any other logical person is going to get what they need to get when they need it to finish the job that was started before the socket broke.
But, this set seems, I repeat, seems to have decent quality tools, and the black chrome is quite nice. It made it quite easy to tell my tools apart from the next guy down the line.
The sockets do tend to fall out of their holders any time the case is moved, though. I think that if you have access to something like thick packing foam or a couple of thick rags placed over the sockets before closing the case will most likely keep them from falling out, but I have not tested that idea.
Cool Set - Lousy Storage August 23, 2007 Jason R. Winkle 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The tools themselves are really decent but the storage case was a joke. The sockets kept falling out of the keeps and became impossible to close the case.
