1 out of 5 stars Pay attention to the reviews stating poor reception!!!!   November 15, 2008
K. Maxon (Lawrence, Ks USA)
I had the manual tuned version of these until they were accidentally chopped up by my 6 foot finish mower! I was happy with them but thought I would step up to the digital ones - a big mistake! I should have paid attention to the reviewers that complained about poor reception. They are right! The FM reception on these is TERRIBLE. I sure wish I would have got the old version instead.

5 out of 5 stars Peltor 90541 Work Tunes - Great Product used by several and all liked.   November 10, 2008
Randall G. Tyndall (Pink Hill, NC)
This product was purchased to use in conjunction with my diesel powered tractor/mower. I have used it and so did my brother-in-law. It was not only ear protective, but the tunes came in great (note: due to location, we do not normally have the best reception at our home- very rural and surrounded by trees). I would highly recommend it to anyone desiring hearing protection along with entertainment.

3 out of 5 stars Poor radio tuner and reception - Nice hearing protection.   November 4, 2008
Gary Cavener (Oregon City, OR)
My experience with these in my woodworking shop has been mixed. I like music when I'm working, but the radio reception with this set sucks. It has a tiny knob that hits a station about every 1 degree of turn, making it very difficult to nail the station. When you do get it tuned to the station the signal is weak and sporadic. I live on a hillside and can see radio towers from my back deck. They are on a hill about 12 miles away. Who knows, maybe I'm getting too much signal? The good part is that they are fairly well made, comfortable and effective. I should probably take the batteries out to lighten them up a bit.

1 out of 5 stars The AM Radio is USELESS...   November 3, 2008
Ben (Connecticut)
Apparently, it was Peltor's goal to draw more sales to this unit by marketing it, in part, as having a radio tuner. It does have a radio tuner. Unfortunately, the AM side is useless and the FM side isn't much better. You've been warned!

2 out of 5 stars A bit disappointed   November 3, 2008
D. Setley (St. Paul, MN.)
May be I was expecting to much from this item. But how hard can it be to product a radio in this day and age. I'm disappointed with the reception. I live in a large major city and can hardly get in any of the local stations either AM or FM. I was looking forward to riding my lawn tractor and listening to some music but can't get in any of the good stations.
