First one dilivered out of box failure .Amazon replace it very quickly ,the second one had a broken handle to change position ,remington sent me the broken handle was easy to replace

Great hopes for trimming tall boxwoods were dashed 20 minutes into using this pitiful machine. Cannot cut 3/8 inch well, so forget 3/4 inch; in their dreams! Unit jammed after several minutes of frustrating trimming (you must feed it into the shrub very carefully) and I had to disassemble the gear box to unjam. What a POS! Great idea; very poor quality and design for the claimed 3/4 inch capacity. Sheet metal transmission components flex under the cutting stress and jam very easily. Instructions for rebuilding the gear box and the parts needed are in the owner's manual: they expect it! Not sure what to recommend instead of this, but can readily recommend you don't waste your time and money on this thing. Cost me $20 to return it due to oversize, but was worth salvaging $50 to put toward a machine that will actually do the job.

I purchased this trimmer to reach the tops of some white pines I keep shaped up. This unit does the job perfectly thus eliminating the need to work off a ladder.
It is heavy and puts a strong cantilever load on your arms when extended, but works fine in conjunction with a conventional trimmer used on the lower branches.
