NOT just a bunch of cussing October 23, 2008 George A. Trosper (Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S.A.) Because it's not in a genre I really appreciate, I've given this piece a neutral 3 stars and I won't write about its quality. However, for those who know the lyrics and were like me surprised by the "Just a bunch of cussing" review here, I want to report that Nugent was moved to decorate this particular performance with a couple of earthy spoken comments. These include two taboo words--one four-letter, one three-letter--in the first several seconds, NOT included in the sample here. In the middle he gets around to the five-letter word. That's all, not really a bunch, but enough to earn the "[Explicit]" label. I don't think the lyrics themselves, as heard here and posted in multiple places on the 'Net, are as clever as Noel Coward's or Cole Porter's. But as in some of those masters' songs, there are several sexual references whose wording is INexplicit but quite clear, and some double entendres. By themselves, these are not enough to elicit "[Explicit]" for Nugent's 99-cent performances.
Just a bunch of cussing October 17, 2008 Marcie K. Kuehl (Madison, WI United States) I like the Nuge as much as the next guy but this particular track was nothing but a bunch of cuss words. I deleted it after only hearing a few seconds. When they say EXPLICIT they're not kidding...and i'm not even easily offended by swearing, i just dont need to download a song thats a bunch of swear words.

Come on! It's the Nuge!... He's playing great lead & rhythm guitar AND singing at the same time, definately live with probably no overdubs, and he wrote this classic song! Man's a legend and always will be.

If you are a Ted Nugent fan you will like this. Just what I would expect from Ted Nugent live. You go to see Nugent for his guitar playing.
UGH - Pretty Bad May 22, 2008 Pallbear (Boston, MA USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I downloaded this because it was one of the free MP3 this week (5/21/08) and figured what have I got to lose? The answer turned out to be 3 minutes and 55 seconds. Take away the voice and the words and the guitar playing is great, but unfortunately you can't do that (at least not easily). I remember that this guy had a hit song once that I liked but it seems like he hasn't matured since then and his sound has become stagnant. Worth a listen for the guitar playing otherwise a must to avoid. If you insist on listening to him go with one of his several greatest hits album.
