3 out of 5 stars what's with the hate?   August 8, 2008
rob (oakland, ca)
look. this is bedroom electronic music. koushik is a good friend of dan snaith (caribou) and is influenced by him, as well as being influenced by common stuff.

listen to andorra from caribou and you'll see what i'm talking about.

this is hazy, trippy electronica, and i think its quite good for what it is. it is reasonably lo-fi, since as i said i'm sure it was all made in his bediroom on a computer. but that's the way things are headed, people. get used to it. clearly, this music does not appeal to the general amazon mp3 customer. that's fine, different strokes for different folks.

i dont think that the free track is really the best on the album - Be With is probably a better song.

3 out of 5 stars Very Chill   August 5, 2008

I found this song to be rather nice and relaxed - a very chill tune. While not the sort of music I normally go for, this was pleasant enough to download. Worth a listen.

3 out of 5 stars Nice rolling beat   August 5, 2008

There is a nice rolling beat to it, has an almost ambient tone to it. Sounds a bit like Jack Drag's "At the Symphony, I could be".

The vocals don't do that much for me, they're too soft. Nonetheless, while the song isn't ambitious, it's a nicely soft and flowing song.

2 out of 5 stars Very slowwwwwwwwww   August 5, 2008

I gave it 2 stars ...one since it was free and one since it is better than the other free songs I've listened to (not that that's saying much).
Sounds like the song is playing a speed or 2 too slow.
Song on qualudes?

1 out of 5 stars Scratchy...like a needle on an old album   August 5, 2008

This sounds like a needle scratching on an old album...it is not listenable!!! I wouldn't even give it one star. I am surprised that you are making this annoying sound available to your Amazon subscribers.
