The Original and Best April 12, 2008 Dr. Ashworth (San Antonio, TX USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I was recreating my vinyl collection, which I kept in peach crates of course, this was a difficult to find and absolute necessity. It is expensive, but worth the cost. I listened to this album until it was so scratched that it would skip over entire tracks. I didn't care. I just taped a couple of pennies to the tone arm. If you have never done that, then you might want to buy a newer version of this compilation. Otherwise, this is the what you listened to, and loved. Highly recommended.
Woodstock March 31, 2008 Michael Coppez (Manchester, NH USA) What more can be said? The Woodstock Festival was a complete disaster from every aspect except the Music. Hugely talented people for whatever reasons(Drugs?, Setting?, Vibes?) kicked it up a notch and gave, in many instances, the performances of their lives. I said disaster, but credit has to be given to the fans who remained mellow and cheery despite the conditions. It was the last Peace, Love, Dope Goodtime of the 1960's and will bring smiles to the faces of people who remember, as well as to those who weren't around, with it's hokey idealism. All in all, well worth the trip!
Woodstock December 12, 2007 L. Noyes (Niantic, CT) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is not at all the way I remember Woodstock ... it's funny for a little while to watch the media talk to the hipppies, and it's great to be able to see some of the best bands ever. However, I now realize how stoned we had to have been to sit through this whole movie! It's nice to have as a piece of history, but you really need to fast forward to the music to get through it.
what could be bad about it? October 24, 2007 Roseann (Sea Cliff, NY United States) What could be bad about a digitally remastered version of my old favorite "album" Woodstock? It's great.
Where can I get a full version of 10 Yrs After's "I'm Going Home"? October 8, 2007 A Follett Fan (Shoreview, Minnesota) Does any one know where I can get a full, unedited version of Ten Years After's "I'm Going Home" rendition at Woodstock?
