Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com
The Cure and a reggae beat certainly make strange bedfellows as, one assumes, do Adam Sandler and a girl with no short-term memory. In that sense, the 50 First Dates soundtrack is a good accompaniment to a fluffy romantic comedy in which one of the main characters is perpetually living in the past. It's also a fitting follow-up to that other Sandler/Barrymore vehicle, The Wedding Singer. (Take a set by Robbie Hart, add a topical shirt, and voilá: a new soundtrack is born.) To those who can't get enough of '80s hits like Bryan Ferry's "Slave to Love" and the Cars' "Drive," setting them to a island beat will likely seem whimsical, charming, and perfect for barbecue weather. For those who are glad the '80s are gone, this CD is a pass. And for Sandler-completeists who crave lighthearted, comic tunes like "Forgetful Lucy," well, you obviously own this already. --Leah Weathersby

4 out of 5 stars Light-hearted and Romantic   October 5, 2008
retrowrestling (Pasadena, California)
Nice to listen to if you are strolling along the beach with your girl on a warm moonlit evening..OR if you are just nostalgiac about the movie.

My personal favorite is "Drive" by Ziggy Marley. Reminds me of some delicate times.

Get yourself a copy, before you "forget".

Love this CD, but I also loved the movie. Jam to it all the time. Shipment was super fast.

4 out of 5 stars Great Motion Picture SOUNDTRACK!   March 17, 2008
Martin Endara Crespo (Somewhere only we know! (ECU))
I`m writing this review just to make a point here to all the negative reviews sorry if this has been told already I can`t bother reading 247 reviews one by one at this moment.

This soundtrack is really nice and is intended as a release of 80`s music with an island tropical twist.

This soundtrack DOES NOT reflects the original score of the movie which features great songs not included in this soundtrack.

There is a difference between a Soundtrack and the Original Score people!!

If you guys want the original score well download the list kindly provided by the person who wrote the first review for this soundtrack.

Very fast and efficient. I also ordered another movie at the same time from another merchant and to date have not received it and have gotten nothing but excuses and put offs. This is how it should be..

This CD reminds me of being on the beach - lots of 80's tunes infused with reggae beats.
