With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached. It also offers an 8-year battery life, water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet), and a genuine leather strap in brown. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. The Timex Men's Classic Analog Metal Field Expedition Watch #T44381 is a good value for the money. The one drawback is a very undersized window for the date. Also, the directions for use are confusing.

My experience with Timex Expedition April 29, 2008

I got the Timex T44381 few days ago from Walmart because I didn't want to wait for shipping from AMZ. The watch looks very nice and works fine so far. The "Indiglo" night-light is a nice feature, but keep in mind that if you press the crown in to use this feature under water (when you are washing your hands, for instance,as it probably happened to another reviewer) the watch could be damage (see the user's manual). I'm giving it 4 stars because it is a bit loud and the leather strap is not very comfortable, but overall it is a good value for only $30.

About one day a month it looses time (3' to 30') when I take it off and am sleeping. Other days it keeps perfect time. It's a little annoying to have to check it every morning to see that it's correct.
