About Citizen
One of the world's largest watch makers, the Citizen Watch Company was founded in 1924 in Japan from its beginnings as the Shokosha Watch Research Institute. The first watch released by the company was named "CITIZEN" and its name was selected so that it would be "close to the hearts of people everywhere." Today, Citizen is recognized as a worldwide leader in advanced timepiece technology, from the world's slimmest LCD watch to the first voice recognition watch to the world's first professional dive watch with an electronic depth sensor. Citizen was also the first to sell watches made with titanium in the world, which is not only light and durable but also non-allergenic (as stainless steel can be to some wearers). Most recently, Citizen has released watches powered by its Eco-Drive, which runs continuously in any kind of natural light or artificial light for a lifetime of use without changing a battery.

5 out of 5 stars Style, Looks and Function   January 9, 2007

I have had this watch for 6 month now and really enjoy it. I have taken it on multiple dives in both salt and fresh water and it has worked flawlessly. The light, while somewhat dim, is what can be expected on a watch of this style. The only thing I would add to the watch, that isn't already there, is a stopwatch funtion.
The docking station is another story. Citizen should move into the 20th century and supply a docking station with USB capabilities. The software that is packaged with the watch could also use a make-over. While still useful, I merely dump the info onto the software and manually input it into the digital logbook that I already have.
I really enjoy the watch and would buy another if I had to do it over again, despite the short-comings of the add ons.

Is in general a great diving watch, but the light is very poor, and the simple watch functions just doesn't exist

great watch, haven't taken it diving yet, though.. has all the features, except mine didn't come with the computer cable. Also, the light is horrible, you can only see a quarter of the watch face at night.. that's the only drawback so far.
