Amazon.com Product Description This Stuhrling Alpine men's watch exhibits a unique and enticing style that is sure to turn heads. The large 44-millimeter, surgical-grade stainless-steel, round case sports scalloped edges, and a skeletonized silver dial with a charcoal propeller-style faceplate, and luminous cigar-style hands. Protected by a domed mineral sapphire crystal, the face boasts embossed Arabic numerals at 4, 8, and 12 o'clock, and printed five-minute markers. Constructed of stainless-steel, the charcoal chakram bezel, and globular crown with its black-rubber equatorial ring finish off the rarefied centerpiece. This unrivaled chronometer is showcased on a black 23-millimeter, genuine French-leather strap that features contrasted stitching, quick-release pins, and a stainless-steel tang-buckle clasp. As robust as it is exceptional, this analog watch runs on a 20-jewel, mechanical automatic movement that is powered by the motion of your wrist and is water resistant to a depth of 165 feet.

Great price for a good watch! October 6, 2008 onlyP (DFW, TX) I was a bit skeptical when I notice the HUGE saving on the price tag. But, all the good comments assure me. And I was right! Just like almost everyone here says, the actual watch looks a lot better than in the picture. It IS worth every penny! I own a $1000+ Omega and it does not even "look" as expensive as this watch. You can see in clear details through the skeleton how much care was put into the making of this watch. Where else you could possibly get an automatic-self-winding watch at this price?!?
Great watch, awesome design, good deal October 4, 2008 R. Brenner I purchased this watch as a piece of jewelry, because I have several chronographs and digital watches and wanted something a bit dressier. So, lets start with the basics: -You don't have to wind it because it has an auto-winding mechanisim. -It has illuminated hands that glow in the dark -The band is large enough for most, if not all men. -The case looks like chrome, if you can't tell from the pics, but it's polished stainless steel, witch is very cool looking. Pros: -This watch keeps time well and I have had no problems and haven't noticed anthing odd about the movement. -The case is stainless steel, highly polished (looks like chrome, but nicer) and it's heavy, which I like. It feels like a quality watch, if you know what I mean. -The band is nice and comfortable, not a cheap band at all, and it fits most wrists, I have a large wrist and it fits me with 2 knotches to spare. -The design is eye-catching and is completely different than any other watch i have ever seen. -In the pictures, the watch looks really cool, but in person the watch looks even better, and looks more expensive than it is. -The crown looks big and looks like it might be uncomfortable, but it's not, infact, it's barely noticible when you wear it. The rounded shape makes it so that there's nothing sharp poking you. -The box and packing are gorgeous, and make a nice presentation for the watch. It comes with the waranty info, instructions, cleaning cloth, company info, and other papers. Cons: - Not much, the band connection to the watch case feels weak, but it very STRONG, sometimes it clicks when I flex my wrist. But it has proven to be connected well. - The metal shows fingerprints because it is so shiny, but a quick rub with a shirt fixes this. Overall, this watch is great and worth the money. I gave it 5 stars because it is really a great watch and a conversation starter. Feel confident when purchasing this watch, in that, you are buying a watch that looks more expensive than it is, and is worth every penny! I really like wearing it because it goes with dress, and casual outfits and can also be a great everyday watch. Enjoy!

Happy husband August 21, 2008 MJ (Europe) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this watch for my husband - it was a bit of a gamble as he is very sportive and usually wears shorts & T-shirts and Suunto watches. But this watch was on offer and I instantly liked it, and luckily, so did my husband. He was very impressed with the beautiful packaging and the design of the watch. The only thing he had to get used to was the black winding knob, but he got over that pretty quickly. He has been wearing it every day since he got it.
