Pretty watch - but not nice... August 31, 2008 medmgr (Katy, TX) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Good - the black on black Darth Vader look is sharp. The dial turns nicely with the a nice clicking and the outer ring lines with the points of the dial perfectly. The Bad - The second hand does not line up with the markers. Since it is a quartz watch, (i.e. not a smooth sweeping hand) it is obvious on every tick - and if it annoys every time I look at it, it does not matter how pretty the watch is, that defect is glaring. I wanted a good looking watch that would stand up to weather when I rode my bike, for that the Invicta is adequate and looks sharp enough if you don't look close. I am keeping it, and wear it - but if I had paid retail (or even half retail) I would be ticked... One piece of advice, if you are going to buy an Invicta, watch the prices - you may find it varies as much as 40 percent or more - be patient and get a good deal. Would I buy another Invicta? Probably - I like the Lupahs and am waiting for the right deal. I would also like to get one of the Automatics someday - just because I have never owned one.
Nice watch. Not amazing. August 26, 2008 L. A. Duran (Portland, OR) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a nice watch. I was a little concerned moving from a leather strap to a metal band. The metal band is quite comfortable though. I needed to remove 3 links from the band to get it to fit right and adjust the clasp in order to get it to fit. Unless you know what you're doing and have the right tools dont' try to adjust the band on your own. There are no instructions included with the watch for resizing. I went to a local supermarket jeweler and they did it while I waited for five dollars. The band and front bezel seem to be of very durable quality materials. I have not noticed any scratching or scuffing so far. In a week of service it has kept impeccable time. The time on this watch matches all the devices that I synced to so far. The only downside to this watch is the movement of the second hand. At top dead center (12 O'clock) the second hand matches up nicely with the tick marks on the face. However, just 10 seconds later, the hand drifts halfway between the 10 and 11 second tick marks. Then 10 seconds later, it is matched again. When I first noticed this, it made me question whether the watch was going to keep time correctly. As I mentioned it seems to do that OK. As long as I don't stare at the second had it doesn't bother me. At any rate I expected better movement from a watch with and MSRP of nearly three hundred dollars and street price nearly half that. I haven't been diving with this watch yet. I plan to do so in January. However, I did drop it into a bucket of fresh water and it did just fine as expected. I also noticed that the black color of the band doesn't appear to show water marks and the face was quite readable underwater. We'll see how it goes in the ocean. I submitted the paperwork for the 4 year warranty extension and I received confirmation of receipt and a warranty card within about 10 days. Good job Invicta.

Arrived on time, sharp looking watch. Was not worried about the quality, purchased 2 other Invicta watchs in the passed. Like the prior two very good for the price. Looking to add a couple more Invicta watchs to the collection.
