excellent sound but..... November 20, 2008 A. Montoya 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought my first set of these headphones about a year ago. I was able to look past the annoyingly long right ear wire because they do have excellent sound quality. I used them mainly at the gym and noticed that after being on the treadmill for a few minutes that the combination of sweat and the weight of the cord would pull the left earpiece out. I tried all 3 rubber sizes but was constantly pushing that left piece back in. Also, when lifting weights I run the cord under my shirt and found that the thick rubber piece where the right and left earphones split would catch my shirt and again pull the left earpiece out, even more often than while running. This was annoying, but I would still have rated these 4 stars because walking my dog or listening in bed these were the best phones I ever heard. I bought 2 other pairs as Christmas presents last year, and now all 3 pairs have failed in one ear. I tried re-soldering the wires and got 2 of them to work again, who knows for how long. I have switched to a pair of Ultimate Ears and the quality is even better, hopefully these will last longer.
I enjoy these headphones, but.... November 19, 2008 A. Browne (NY,NY) I definitely like the sound quality of these headphones. Bass sounds great, highs and mids sound accurate. My only caveat to these headphones is that I wish the cord was longer and the headphones were symmetrical. Having one side of the headphone shorter than the other really puts a cramp in my style. The overall length of the headphone cord needs to be just a little longer it's too short for my taste.
lopsided wires November 19, 2008 Leann Mcclellan (Palm Springs, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
great product good sound for the price, really don't like the lopsided wire factor...one side very short...and you cannot adjust it....
Good sound, but... don't make a move... November 17, 2008 S. Rosca (NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These headhpones fit and sound good. My biggest complaint is that I can hear thunder every time colar of my shirt touches the wiers and it is really annoying on a sunny day, because of that I can't recommend them.
Very Satisfied November 17, 2008 D. Croitoru (Boston, MA United States) I bought these a month ago after my old Philips earphones died. I've spent quite a while searching for a good pair of in-ear headphones that would sound great, be very comfortable, and cost at most 70$. I was stuck on these, and Etymotic's ER-6i's. I almost bought ER-6i, but when I borrowed my friend's pair I noticed they are not very comfortable to wear (they do sound great, but you have to fiddle around until you get the right fit), so I decided to go with the cheaper Sehnheiser CX300. The moment I received them I was surprised by their robust buid quality. But when I put them on and started the music player from my nokia n82 I was completely thrilled. There was a song in which it felt like there was a train running in the background, which I thought was some outside noise. When I took off the headphones I realized I was wrong, and that sound was just part of the song!! I was happy with the sound quality, but comfort is another story. These are easily the most comfortable earphones I ever had. I can't even feel anything in my ears and can wear them for hours... Overall I would highly recommend these headphones; They are a clear step up from the headphones supplied with iPods, cellphones, etc. And Amazon sells them for 32$! What more can you ask for??
