Overall, I think the device and service are very well thought out. When the device arrived it was already registered to my Amazon account, making its use amazingly simple. Within a minute I was reading book I wanted to purchase.
I find the text very easy on my eyes and use it outdoors in the sun just like a regular book.
Having newspapers and magazines delivered to the device automatically each morning makes it perfect and I expect to get a great deal of use out of the device.
Altogether I find the convenience and ease of use greatly out weigh the cost of the device.

It remains to be seen whether the Kindle can make a big dent in paper type reading materails. It's certainly handy. My daughter is a flight attendant; the device is excellent for her because of small size, portability, and ease of downloading books.

I used to be such an avid reader of books but having moved a few years back to a smaller place, I didn't have the room to take all my books out of storage. I found myself reading less and less.
But the Kindle changed all that. It is so convenient having all of the books you are interested in at your fingertips on the Kindle whenever and wherever you want to read. I have rediscovered my love for reading again.

I highly recommend this product to all readers. This little machine has been a blessing. I always have to lug the book I'm reading to work which entailed walking/subway/walking. Reading a large book was causing painful back aches. Also, the type on some paperbacks is extremely hard to read. This little machine take care of all of that. The type can be changed. Also, I receive from Amazon a list of books that Amazon recommends for me based on my taste. The little machine also allows me to buy books on it and the book is instantly downloaded. I still haven't read all of the things that the Kindle can do but if it is just what I've mentioned, that's plenty. BUY IT!

Kindle: Amazon's New Wireless Reading Device
This is a wonderful innovation. I've read three books in five days. I find that I can read twice as fast as usual, and I was a fast reader before. There's just the right amount on a page for me to take in and view.
The only thing I miss is the title page and a way to find out how many pages there are in the book and what page I'm on. The dots at the bottom don't quite do it!
Gotta go-- I have a new book to read.
