Product Description You conquered the level, so why not pick-up where you left off the next time you're at the controls? The PS297027 PlayStation 2 memory card lets you do just that with 8MB of storage. The PS2 delivers more data intensive games, so extra memory for saving game progress, hidden characters, high scores and custom settings is invaluable. Best of all, the memory card is mobile, allowing you to plug your card into a friend's system for easy data retrieval. Memory cards are an essential accessory for all gamers.
Amazon.com Product Description Building a better system from the ground up sometimes involves digging into even the most mundane components. Take memory cards, for instance. To provide larger storage capacity and faster access rates--PlayStation2 cards transfer data 200 times faster than cards for the original PlayStation--PlayStation2 developers have upgraded the technology for the new memory card. The 8 MB Memory Card uses Flash Memory, the storage technology that's revolutionizing handheld computers, digital cameras, and MP3 players. In contrast, the 128 KB memory cards that were designed for the original PlayStation use memory blocks. While large files can spill over several blocks, you can't store more than one file per block in that design, no matter how small the file. The 8 MB Memory Card allieviates that problem by organizing and storing files much more like a computer hard disk.

Very Useful Memory Card August 1, 2008 Justifiedbyworks (Dominican, Republic) Once i started using this memory card, it has never failed and it saves successfully every part of the game I've played. I really recomend this product.

I gaving a rating of one star because I can't say anything about this product since I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED IT (it was my FIRST online purchase via amazon)..the seller advised that the commercial invoice was sent, but I got notice that they are STILL waiting for said INVOICE to release my purchase. So the seller got the better deal on this occasion; he has by now spent my hard-earned money; on the other hand, I have NOTHING to show for it...se la vie! MG
It works July 14, 2008 Rui F. Resendes 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It worked. Still working after a few months. What else can I say about a memory card?
It's ok, if it works right July 12, 2008 Glenn (Texas) This memory card hasn't been reliable, my first one stopped working out of the blue after a few months. When I replaced it, thinking that I just was unlucky, the new one is already having problems after a few weeks with corrupt data.
Quality memory card July 5, 2008 Kevin E. (Baltimore, MD) I have had many video game systems, and only once made the mistake of using a 2nd party memory unit. I have used the same 2 memory cards for over 6 years now, and never had one problem. Sony makes high quality peripherals for their game systems, and there is no reason to not take advantage of everything they have perfected.
