I saw the ratings for this game and was so excited to get it. Until I did. I've tried repeatedly, and unsuccessfully, to get into this game. My main complaints are that the battles are overly long and tedious and Jack's reaction time is slow. The battles are so boring and drawn out that I found my mind wandering as I fought.
The graphics and atmosphere of the game are good, and it was fun for the first ten minutes to wander around Halloween Town. But, in my opinion, the game is more annoying than entertaining.

i don't know why people be hating on this game. but its a great game overall. im not even a big fan of that gothic classic nighmare before christmas cult movement, but it's a beautiful game. the dance numbers are lots of fun and so is the rest of the gameplay. its dark and spooky, but you become totally addicted to it. i enjoyed whipping everyone, including the good guys. plus your whip becomes more and more powerful after you get power ups. its the greatest weapon of all games. bitchslapping ghosts and goons. sweeeeeeeet.
