Product Description In an age long past, the Rift was formed, decisively separating the lands of light and the plains of darkness by an impassable chasm. Over time the Enclave of light grew strong and prosperous, while those confined to war-ravaged outlands harbored nothing but hatred and jealousy. Now, after hundreds of years, the Rift is closing, and it is only a matter of time before a full-scale war erupts with you in the center! Enter the Enclave and experience hardcore close quarter combat at its bloodiest i

Overlooked Gem February 14, 2006 pbro (Las Vegas, Nevada USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I look for 5 things in a game: 1)good gameplay ... 2)good story (especially if RPG) ... 3)no/few fixable bugs ... 4)no anti-piracy bs ...5)decent graphics I'll admit, this game can be frustratingly hard. Being physically disabled/very litlle manual dexterity does make it much more difficult, but luckily, Enclave had cheat codes(... I think all games should have them). So, if you run into a really rough part, use them; then turn them off. This games doesn't rely on killing and re-killing to level up, instead you search for treasure. The more you find, the better you can equip your character ... trust me; find all you can :-) Like the two separate campaigns. Though the "Dark" with the Sorc is easier. It's fun to cover the whole map ... jumping, swimming and running around like a fool looking for treasure The "treasure total" is on the screen, so you know how much there is on a map ... whether you might want to redo it Think about the games we've purchased in the last year with ... bugs; one unfinished; companies stop releasing official patches(... thank you to the gamers for the unofficial patches); anti-piracy bs; poor/short gameplay etc... You can even go back, use inferior characters + cheat codes ... see how many times you would die and redo till you feel like you made an honest effort The characters are "different", so you can have fun experimenting :-) I hope they make a sequel. Maybe the "Light" will have a strong character this time :-) One note: the "Light" ending was "throw the kitchen sink at you" ... I thought that ruined the flow of the game Actually the final few maps were very difficult ? Maybe it's my poor game-playing; the weaker characters ?
I love this game! January 7, 2006 a reviewer I give this game five stars because the storyline is easy to follow and I can get through the levels easily without too much trouble. First off you get to choose what side you want to be on, the Light Campaign or the Dark Campaign. You get to pick from easy, medium or hard game play but the levels are no different no matter what setting you pick. A little disappointing but not enough to really bug me. You can choose from 12 different characters six on each side. On the Light Campaign you start off as the Knight. On the Dark Campaign you play the asassin at the beginning eventually earning all characters after you pass certain levels. The Light side you choose from the Druid, Huntress, Knight, Engineer, the halfling and the wizard. On the Dark side you play the asassin, orc bombardier, sorceress, Arch Lich, Berserker or the goblin. Easy to play after you get a feel for it and mucho on the fun! The storyline is easy to follow and interesting. A huge battle was fought and the outcome of it was a rift separated the two sides. You have to depending on what side you choose, fight your enemies collecting gold along the way in order to buy better weapons and such, and defeat Mordessa and the demon King Vatar or kill the queen of Celenheim. Easy to play except one level I cannot pass after playing it for the umpteenth time, is the hard setting of Hagastrom. But not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the game. This level is optional to pass. Overall, I really like the game and can continue to play it from beginniong to end. I highly recommend it.

i have played probably around a hundred different games in almost 20 years and enclave has been the best game i ever played. it may seem a little difficult but you can select an easier level too. it was one of the few games i wanted to go through all the way to the end, and there are many much more complicated games despite what people below say. it has great graphics even compared to many newer games, sharp and colorful unlike many greenish blurry games; or at least that is what it was on my machines (intel processors + radeon video cards). i got interested in rpg games after this but they are not the same and i think they would seldom have the same graphics anyway. so whoever interested in this kind of story and does not like rpg games very much should try enclave. it is a beautiful game. i myself would love to see them make new versions to it. i have tried prince of persia, painkiller, doom 3 and other famous games. even they didn't come close to it.
Very fun. December 12, 2005 jocasta (Oneonta, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very Fun third person slasher game - You have alot of characters to play with and you can build them up as you play - The only thing that could have been improved is the ability to do special moves and also the lead characters looks paled in comparison to the computer controlled players - once your over these things - the game is very fun - and you can play both light or dark campaigns - which are completely different games.
If you are into frustration...this is your game! March 19, 2004 Robert Sandlin (Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin United States) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
The only thing worse than a boring PC game is one that you cannot win. In their over-exuberance to create a masterpiece of graphic design the developers of this gothic horror forgot something. When you frustrate your audience to tears they take your game and throw it against a wall. Save your money folks. By level 8 (if you make it that far) this bad boy will end up fragments in your trash can!
