I went through this entire game, it was quite good. It starts off slow, and hits a few low points, but it picks it self back up, and gets the ball rolling towars the middle. Some of the first half is very confusing, and most of it is by your self, however, this will get you very good, very fast. The music gets a 5/5, because its ambient and has a nice effect through-out the game, the voice acting is terrible except for the main character and a few characters here and there. Graphics get a 3/5; they are probably about as good as some recent ps2 3d games, but nothing spectacular. Gameplay gets a 3/5 because its so slow at first. And your gernerally confused through the beggining. However it gets better with its Time Based System, and quickly becomes a stray and play game for any hard core to moderate player.

The game is good and I have patched it already but it still crashes back to windows so if you do play it save often, like after every battle. The graphics are ok but not great and the storyline is very good. I really doubt you will ever finish the game though as the crashes get boring after a while. But the price was right for this game and when it plays, it plays well.

The kind of game: RPG with Adventure elements.
Graphics: The graphics are not up to speed with lots of other new games, but the graphics are nice to look at. Expect dated graphics, but nothing I can't personally handle. Good news is you can play this game on an older computer without problems.
Sound/Music: While I enjoy the sound and music in this game, it's quality varies during the game, from pretty good at times to just downright bad. The voices in the game sound nice to me, some accents are kind of funny to hear, but the main characters voice is nice on the ears. Every dialog in the game is spoken too. I really like the music in this game. Don't expect great tunes you'll be humming around, but the music is nice enough.
Control: This game can play a lot like an adventure game. Think King's Quest and other similar ones. You control a fairy with broken wings(that's just awesome). You move your main character around like in other adventure games. The view of your character can change from one place to the next. You have objects you can pick up and use on other things to solve a puzzle. You also have your main character who you level up with experience points from solving quests and killing bad guys. It's your typical type of RPG element, with a few "different" things.
Linear/Non-linear: The game is pretty linear, however you can choose to do things differently from the next person. For example, you can either make someone a friend, or kill them. When you talk to someone, you get several responses you can choose from. Some responses might be nice, others might be mean. The games story pretty much appears to be linear though.
Combat: The combat is pretty much like Final Fantasy. Combat is purely turn based, but you have a timer that counts down. How it works, is that you pick a combat move, or a spell, and wait for the timer to countdown before your character attacks the bad guys with it. Each move is different, and you can be faster depending on how "fast" your character is. You can "recruit" NPC's to join you, so you have more than one character in your party fighting. I find combat pretty fun. I was always a fan of turn based combat. No complaints in the combat part.
Storyline: Can't say much so not to spoil anything. But the story is something interesting enough, and I find it has it's charm that appeals to me. You are a young female fairy with broken wings, who just happens to be a pirate. Since this happens in the beginning, it won't spoil anything. You basically are a pirate with a crew. During the night, some other pirates take the gold, and your necklace. So your journey starts from there to find it.
My opinion: This is a wonderful game with a wonderful story. I am an old school PC gamer, who has been playing games since Zork. This game somehow takes me back to the older games, it really has a charm to it. The main thing about the game, is that I find it fun. It's a game that I am going to keep, and play at a later time. Hopefully a patch will be released for the game.
The only thing bad about this game in my eyes, is that it has game breaking bugs in it. They can be avoided easily enough though. For example, there is a bug where if you visit the tavern in Mildrew while the tobacco guy is in there BEFORE you get to the swamp, then an unfixable game breaking bug will occur. But if you wait to visit the tavern till after you get to the swamp, then you are okay. Yes, it is very bad, as I ended up getting this game crashing bug. What happens if this occurs, is every time you talk to this guy at the swamp, the game will crash every time.
That is the only bug I have encountered myself. Other than that bug and a few random crashes I experienced, the game ran well.
If you can get past the one big bug I experienced and maybe some other bugs I don't know about, and probably some crashes, I'd recommend this game if it sounds interesting to you. If you are wary, but still want the game, waiting for a patch would be a good thing to do. Good news is that the bug(s) are avoidable. Just don't get that one I got.

I purchased this game as a "waste a little time" game while traveling.
I immediately got a bad vibe when the install disc told me to insert disc 2 and then, quickly said I had the wrong disc in and I needed disc 1.
Once it installs, you are asked if you want to remap your keys (since a mouse is useless). I remapped the keys and it gave me an error screen, disregarded my personal settings, and defaulted back to it's original settings.
YOU CAN NOT REMAP KEYS ONCE YOU PLAY THE GAME. If you remap the keys on your next load, then start the game, your saves are lost.
YES, This is a BUGGY game. The European to AMerican English translation is a bit off as well. Voice acting is somewhat annoying too.
3-4 years ago, this would have been a great game.
Here is an example of the poor balance in gameplay.
You will see a monk on the map and approach him. He has 24 HP and you kill him pretty easily. You walk a few minutes and encounter another monk. This one is level 11 and has 150 HP and kills you with 2 hits before you can escape (run away from) the encounter.
I am a writer and was planning on submitting a story to Dreamcatcher but I have been frequently let down by the quality of their games. They are usually good-great stories with bad game graphics or controls.
SAVE FREQUENTLY!!!
I only reccommend this for people with older computers that have lots of patience.
I am partway thru this and may give up soon. This is only because I need to finish Oblivion and start Dark Messiah.

This game is a bad mix of Hero's Quest and Final Fantisy and its riddles with bugs.
